Dessert Oasis pulls espresso shots in a converted storefront on Capitol Park, the kind of low-key start that doesn't ask much of you. From there it's a short walk to Campus Martius to sit by the fountain while the evening cools off, then over to Batch, where the rooftop opens up and a live band takes over the top floor without turning it into a scene.
