Nemo's has been slinging cheap burgers a block from old Tiger Stadium for fifty years, so that's where the night starts before the noise ramps up. A quick stop at Corktown Tavern for dollar drinks and bad trivia keeps things loose, then El Club closes it out with VEAUX turning the volume all the way up.

Corktown After Dark, Michigan Central Style

Michigan Central Station isn't open for wandering these days — no public tours, no exhibits, just a floodlit facade behind fencing — but the block around it is still the best version of Corktown after sunset. Sliders at Green Dot, a slow loop past the restored clock tower, then El Club goes loud for VEAUX past midnight.

Third Man Records doesn't have confirmed current hours in what we could verify, so this one leans into the rest of Cass Corridor and Midtown instead — the coffee counter inside Jolly Pumpkin, a bookstore that just won Bookstore of the Year, an O'Keeffe show at the DIA, and a dive bar that's been open since 1980. Honestly a better day than standing outside a locked door.
